We have had some exciting ‘visits out’ and ‘visitors in’ to help us with our learning!

Here is a taste of our exciting learning:

Fire Engine Visit

A fire engine came to Orchard and the Y1 children had great fun exploring the vehicle. They learned about how the fire service helps the public to stay safe and the important features of a fire engine.

Museum of Childhood Visit

The children continue to work hard on their reading and writing skills. This year our pupils achieved a 97% pass rate in their Phonics test! They built upon the 95% pass rate achieved last academic year.

Letter from MP_Orchard Phonics results

Last Academic year, Year 1  went to the seaside together with Year 2. This trip was linked to their geography topics titled Beaches and Islands. They visited Littlehampton, travelling on a double decker bus. Some parents went along to help with the trip.

Although the weather was cold and wet, the children had a good time. Some had never been to the seaside before so it was a new experience for them.
